Annual Golf Outing

This popular annual tournament and fund-raiser is held the last Monday in July. The event, which is open to the local business community and the general public, includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, dinner, and prizes. Proceeds support Foundation programs and projects.

This year's outing was on July 25, 2005. Thirty-six foursomes enjoyed a fun-filled day on the beautiful greens at Tamarack Golf Club. The event raised approximately $25,000 for the Foundation. According to Alan Fry, Foundation chairman, a portion of the proceeds will be used to award mini-grants to teachers. These mini-grants have provided enrichments at all grade levels through projects that would not normally be financed by district funds.
