Fund-Raising Performances
Proceeds from annual fund-raising theater and music performances go into the
Foundation’s general fund to help finance a wide variety of educational program
enrichments.
For example, the ever-popular AlphaBet Soup Productions performs for District
204 audiences twice each year.
Other
Foundation fund-raisers have included performances by nationally known
entertainers such as the Count Basie Big Band, Maynard Ferguson and his Big Bop
Nouveau Band, the Northern Illinois Jazz Band, the Mamas and the Papas,
nationally recognized magician Andy Dallas, and the comedy/improv group Second
City National Touring Company.
"Cinderella" talks with one of her fans
after a performance of the children’s
theatrical production presented
by the Foundation.
